About Us
A successful applicant for this placement will play an important role within Shipping & Logistics. Jobs in Customs are very rewarding and offer you a unique opportunity to understand the import and export sector from a legal perspective.
This placement will involve the preparation of Customs documentation to ensure that any shipments either imported or exported meet all applicable laws so that entry or export can occur.
What will you be doing
During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include;
Responsibilities
- Supporting Customs Team in daily import/export of satellite parts
- Supporting the end to end process, from supplier to customer
- Preparing accurate customs clearance data entry work in accordance with Customs and Government regulations
- Entering details onto SAP system and specialised customs software
- Awareness of the supply chain operation, including logistics

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;
You will be studying towards a degree in one of the following:
- Business
- Finance
- Economics
- Supply Chain
- Logistics
Requirements
- Good computer skills including Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Full customs training will be provided

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.
