Human Resources at Airbus is a fully integrated, multi skilled team with Centres of Excellence including Compensation and Benefits, Employees Relations, Talent & Executives Management, and Transformation and Digital activities. An opportunity exists within a dynamic HR environment to experience each and every aspect of Human Resources, in addition to some key and topical HR projects.

Tasks

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

  • Support to the Newport HR Business Partners and Site Director with the day to day running of HR department, to include employee relations issues, supporting grievance and disciplinary meetings, interviews and reward processes.
  • General HR Administration activities such as recruitment, headcount monitoring, management of overseas deployment contracts and associated pay and conditions.
  • Support to HR Project work in partnership with Centre's of Excellence and Employee Relations team i.e. Apprentice Levy, Job Value
  • Support Neuro Diversity initiative with Airbus UK in support of our Balance for Business initiatives.
  • Manage overseas deployment including production of deployment contracts and management of associated payroll.
  • Support to the Compensation and Benefits team, to include Company car scheme, Salary sacrifice initiatives.
  • Active participation and support to company culture evolution initiatives, including the promotion of work life balance and contribution and promotion of mental health activities.
  • Support to HR workshops as required.
  • Support Early Careers initiatives and development of schemes including Apprentice and Graduate assessment centres.

Skills

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • To take initiatives on key projects.
  • Be passionate about people activity and building relationships.
  • Be a team player.
  • Act as a focal point for general HR enquiries.

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.
