Role Description

A new role is available due to the expansion of the product support team within Airbus Cyber Security at our site in Newport, South Wales and involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicant to be able to be security cleared to a UK DV level. (Minimum requirement SC)

We are looking for a flexible Junior Software Engineer who is happy working on embedded C/C++ all the way up to dynamic web services. The role is varied and could be very different from day to day.

Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Maintaining Airbus Cyber Security’s cryptographic products protecting critically sensitive National and Commercial information
  • Investigation of faults and the development of fixes 
  • Expanding the automated testing coverage

Looking For

  • Airbus are looking for a Software Engineer with 0 – 5 years’ experience
  • A keen and enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn, flexible and able to react to issues 
  • Have good problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Software Engineering or related degree

  • Basic Networking knowledge
