An opportunity has arisen for a placement student to work within Manufacturing Engineering. Our team are responsible for many tasks including but not limited to;

  • Working daily to support and manage technical issues & continuous improvements,
  • drive innovations and new technologies.
  • Manage Outstanding Work, maintenance, and issues or Developments with jigs & tools.
  • Outstanding Work support functions roles, support functions roles in the continuous improvement routines of the production teams on site.
  • Working as part of a multi function team across the different variants and stages of build at Broughton.

What will you be doing?

During this placement, you will develop skills such as Planning, Project management, Communication, Finances, Supply Chain integration aswell many more.

Activities that you may undertake during your placement will include;

  • Major Tooling Development
  • Assembly tooling development
  • Supporting Wing of Tomorrow development with the AMRC.

Please note our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • You have a strong interest in developing yourself
  • You are interested in finding creative solutions to complex problems
  • You have been studying for a relevant engineering or technical degree
