About us

An opportunity to work alongside our business support team, and Health & Safety experts on the latest product in the Airbus commercial wing family, the A350 wing, has arisen at Broughton plant near Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for your career development and will give you the knowledge and experience you require to aid your development on your career journey in business and operations management. These teams are responsible for important daily activities to maintain production within the A350 wing assembly business. We are a team of business support and Health & Safety experts that enable wing manufacturing production on a daily basis and ensure this is achieved in a safest manner to exceed our customer safety & Quality expectations. We are responsible for a wide range of activities so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in all aspects of aircraft production.

What you will be doing

You will be working closely with the Health & Safety Leader and Business Support Team to support the following objectives such as accident reduction, risk assessments; accident investigation, identification and implementation of H&S improvement actions. Business support will consist of cost saving initiatives and leading strategic improvement projects.

The role requires an understanding of fundamental lean principles and a demonstrated ability to support and implement projects to completion. It is recognised that successful candidates may have differing levels of knowledge of the more technical aspects of Project Management.  As such they will be supported with a development programme suitable to their requirements.

Please note our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • You will be studying towards a degree in Engineering or Business..
  • The desire to work in a technical team environment
  • Excellent IT skills (Google-Suite)
  • Ability to interface and influence people at all levels within the organisation
  • The ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively.
  • Team worker with a desire to work in an open and trusting environment
