About us
This internship opportunity sits within the Spacecraft Production Quality Assurance department, which is responsible for ensuring that all company industrial processes are followed and comply with quality assurance requirements and standards.
In addition to this core function, the Quality department is focused on driving and influencing the company to reduce both the cost of quality and the cost of non-quality. Data analytics form a key part of this mission.
In this role, the intern will support day-to-day Quality Assurance activities, including non-conformance management, key inspection activities, and driving non-quality prevention. You will also assist the department in developing its digital dashboards with indicators that identify key drivers in the cost of non-quality.
What you will be doing
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that a comprehensive Quality Assurance programme is established, maintained, and implemented for projects. This will involve you in the full lifecycle of a mission, from initial mission definition and design through to development and production.
Throughout your placement, you will gain exposure to:

- A world-class manufacturing organisation, including its day-to-day operations and setup;
- Developing an improvement mindset and a focus on change management.
Requirements
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

As the successful candidate you will be to demonstrate the following:
- Currently conducting a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering;
- Knowledge in problem solving tools such as PFMEA, Practical Problem Solving would be advantageous;
- The ability to listen, understand and communicate information;
- Self-motivated in managing personal time, goals and objectives.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
