Alpha are currently recruiting the top graduate talent into our technology division. Our team of developers have many years of experience in the sector, helping clients use technology to turn their goals into reality. We work with an extensive blue-chip client base including 21 of the top 25 largest global asset management firms and currently we are digitally transforming over 130 clients across the globe.
We are headquartered in the United Kingdom but have offices in all the major financial centres such as the United States, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Asia. If you have always wanted to work overseas at some point then we can definitely help to facilitate this.
Successful graduates will join our graduate scheme starting in April 2022 and be given all the tools to hit the ground running as a Graduate Developer and rapidly progress their career. You will be helping to coordinate transformation projects for the leading global asset and wealth management companies such as Morgan Stanley, HSBC and Barclays Wealth.
Our Graduate Training Programme
You will kick start your career at Alpha with our industry leading three week training programme which will get you up and running to start making a day-to-day impact on client projects. We know that starting a graduate job can be daunting so we help you settle in by a variety of training activities. The initial welcome week will equip you with a strong consulting toolkit focusing on areas such as time management, presentation and stakeholder management. In order to assist you with your industry knowledge we will allocate time for you to work towards a variety of qualifications.
Throughout the training period we dedicate time for you to spend with each team at Alpha so you can get an understanding of the practice areas we operate in. You will also undergo a variety of onboarding activities, internal training and a number of social events to get to meet the Alpha team in a more informal setting. On the graduate programme you will benefit from mentors, regular management one to one catch ups and our buddy scheme. The buddy scheme helps all new starters settle in, you can ask them anything from work related questions to social related and one day you will be in their shoes helping the new graduates.
Training does not stop once you finish the graduate scheme as we will continue to support your learning and development. We continue to support you through a variety of qualifications, external and internal training to help invest in your future.
What will you be doing?
Once you have completed training you will be immersed into life at Alpha, helping your team to deliver client projects of the highest quality. As a Developer, the role will be extremely varied as you will be working alongside leading asset and wealth management companies to use your technological expertise to turn their dreams into a reality. Graduates immediately become key members of the team, providing a fresh way of thinking and problem solving. You will be working on a combination of technical strategy projects, large scale implementation programmes or internal product development. Each and every project will be different, they could vary in length from just a few weeks to over a year long. We encourage you to take on more responsibility when you believe you are ready. Graduates will soon become experts in the field and be able to consult some of the most senior executives in the global asset management industry to help them to achieve their goals.

Could you be a good fit?

- Predicted or achieved a 2:1 or above from university
- Work experience in the technology or finance sector
- Outgoing, strong communicator and a team player
- Passion for technology
- Experience in programming (e.g. Java, Python, Javascript)
- Experience with web or data technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, SQL)

- Video interview
- Telephone interview
- Half-day assessment centre
- Final Round Interview
