Overview of the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to kickstart your career within the Salesforce ecosystem and to build your knowledge whilst working alongside experienced Salesforce Professionals.

As an Application Support Specialist, you will be a key part of our internal support function, servicing the wider business with the support and configuration of our CRM platform, whilst also gaining exposure and experience across other parts of Alpha’s core application suite.

The role will be delivered with the support of:

  • Global IT & Infrastructure Manager
  • Mentoring from our team of internal Salesforce development experts

Job Responsibilities:

The job role of Application Support Specialist will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Day-to-day internal support for Salesforce and exposure to other internal application support
  • Overseeing user management as part of our Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML) process
  • Monitoring license utilisation across the Salesforce platform
  • Scoping and assisting with the configuration and development of Alpha’s corporate application suite to facilitate new business requirements
  • Participating in project team meetings and communicating effectively with peers, architects, business analysts and project managers
  • Assessing the impact of new Salesforce platform releases to all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Configuring third-party integrations with the Salesforce platform
  • Assisting with end-user training requirements as required
  • Support and involvement with client-facing Salesforce project deliverables

  • Excellent analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Alpha - both business and technical
  • Strong business analysis and functional ability, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users
  • Able to work autonomously and remotely

Technical skillset:

  • Competency in at least one programming language
  • Experience with web and/or data technologies, such as HTML, CSS or SQL

Salary

£25k per annum plus benefits
