What will this role involve?

We’re looking for graduates to join our Commercial Graduate pathway in our Transport Infrastructure (TI) business. We have specific opportunities in: Runcorn (Area 10), Avonmouth & Severn Bridges, Scotland (STRU SW), Nottingham (Area 7), Sheffield PFI, Stafford Schemes, Street Lighting based in Bradford, Traffic Management (Birmingham), Kent Highway Maintenance and Birmingham or Oxford (Estimating).

As a Commercial Graduate, you’ll work with the regional or contract-specific commercial teams in different roles, working to support the TI business to ensure commercial best practice is utilised in order to maximise value and minimise risk.

This fast-track graduate programme will provide you with the tools to develop your skills and fulfil your potential, enabling you to move into a relevant role at the end of the programme. You’ll have the opportunity to rotate across four key areas of the business to allow you to gain exposure to and experience of many different aspects of Amey.

You need the following to qualify for the programme:

  • Minimum 2:2 in a relevant degree, ideally BSc in Quantity Surveying or related studies (Civil Engineering)
  • Available to join us in September 2021
  • Work experience (desirable)
  • Willingness to travel based on project requirements – we encourage a mix of home and office-based working
  • Proven extra-curricular achievements
  • Creative thinking and commercial acumen
  • Drive and ambition
  • Good communication and rapport-building skills
  • Eligible to work and live permanently in the UK
