Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for a Graduate Prototyping Engineer to join our Digital Processing Platforms Team in Limerick, Ireland.

This is an opportunity to join a growing team that is leading a “digital transformation” to enable aggressive adoption of edge processing within ADI products.  This position will be part of an engineering team responsible for designing and producing FPGA based solutions for prototyping for ADI’s Extensible Processing Platform designs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the expected operation of microprocessor peripherals such as SPI, UART etc. and develop C/C++ code to verify their correct operation
  • Maintain a system of FPGA platforms used by a global team of embedded software and verification engineers
  • Identify, debug and fix issues when running HDL on an FPGA
  • Perform FPGA synthesis
  • Support the embedded software and verification teams through FPGA bring-up, debug, and validation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.Eng or M.Eng in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar field
  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming
  • Hands-on experience with microcontroller/microprocessors
  • Strong knowledge of digital electronics fundamentals and experience doing digital design
  • Familiarity with lab, debug, and measurement equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with FPGA development
  • Experience working with Verilog/VHDL (Verilog preferred)
  • Familiarity with industry standard bus protocols such as SPI, I2C etc.
  • Experience writing automation scripts using Python, Perl, or Shell
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN
