£20,111 (london offices) £18,018 (remote)

We’re Anthony Nolan and we save the lives of people with blood cancer who need a stem cell transplant.

We’re unique. Thanks to the incredible donors on our register, our pioneering research and our passionate fundraisers, we give the chance of life to three people a day.

But we won’t stop there. We want to be there for everyone who needs a transplant; from finding a match, through every step of a patient’s transplant journey. And together we can reach the remarkable day when we can save the lives of everyone with blood cancer.

And now we want you to join our lifesaving team. We are looking for a Communications and Awards Programme Intern to work on the Anthony Nolan Supporter Awards (ANSAs). The awards programme, which has been running for nine years, has seen hundreds of awards presented to patients, fundraisers, clinical supporters, donors, families and journalists who have supported Anthony Nolan in a number of ways.

About the role

As the Communications and Awards Programme Intern, you will contribute to the delivery of the Anthony Nolan Supporter Awards (ANSAs), the charity’s awards and recognition programme. You will coordinate the programme, which includes working with Anthony Nolan’s Communications and Marketing & Content teams to celebrate the charity’s supporters in the media and through channels including the website and social media.

You will support delivery of a PR & communications plan which will include building relationships with journalists across national, local and trade media and handling reactive media enquiries.

You will work closely with our supporters, helping them to share their stories in the media. You will be in regular contact with Anthony Nolan spokespeople - this includes colleagues who manage the Anthony Nolan stem cell donor register, fundraise and those who support patients and families going through transplant.

You will have a demonstrable interest in UK print and online news media, an interest in developing digital content, and will be a strong communicator.

Release your remarkable, join our team and give someone a chance of life.
