Are you a games graduate/student or modder looking for an opportunity to work alongside industry professionals in our Cornwall studio? Are you able to work at AntiMatter Games in Cornwall at our Truro studio between start May and End August 2022? If this sounds like you, read on!
These are hands-on internships working alongside our game teams, supported by our Leads and Seniors in each department. We are looking for individuals who can quickly integrate and hit the ground running so you can get the most out of the experience.
Requirements
Our programming interns need to be self-motivated, capable of working autonomously when required, with a passion for researching solutions to problems and generating creative, efficient, modular code which can fit in as part of a much bigger project.
Coding skill is of course essential, but it’s just as important – if not more important – that the candidate can communicate what they’ve created, collaborating with other programmers, notating code and creating documentation which explains their work with clarity and confidence.
We currently only look for programmers with experience using Unreal Engine 4 and a background in C++. Applicants should also possess a basic understanding of general programming processes and methodologies. The applicant should also have a basic working knowledge of the Perforce visual client (checking in/out files, resolving merge conflicts, rolling back submissions or individual files, etc.), or failing that, another version control software package.
Programming Internship applicants must include a brief portfolio including at least one game project in which you played a major technical role. Please note that we may ask for access to the source code of any application materials.
Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK.
Due to the nature of this role and the mentorship required it will be an onsite role in our Studio in Truro.
