We are offering an amazing internship opportunity to work directly with our R&D team in Cambridge. Collaborate with some of the best in the business and see how we create the world's most innovative products and experiences. Our internships are a minimum of three months, you must be enrolled as a student on a Bachelor, Masters or equivalent course and be available to start no later than 1st June 2021.
The Role
Our aim is to create an experience on the MLPT Operations team that allows you to learn without pressure, gain practical skills, build real world experience, develop a greater understanding of our industry and form valuable connections. You will join an extraordinary team, including specialist software engineers and leading machine learning practitioners who are all passionate about applying groundbreaking techniques to AI.
MLPT is a platform comprised of multiple services and systems to enable ML engineers to manage the life cycle of Machine Learning models and supporting data. The team, focuses on the reliability and production lifecycle of these services, providing the best solution when it comes to infrastructure needs.
As a member of the team you will be working on improving the reliability of the MLPT services which will impact each Apple team using the platform. You will research and develop innovative solutions that will affect the MLPT platform used by many teams at Apple, like Siri, Search, Camera and more. Along with your colleagues, you’ll look at the existing infrastructure and identify way to improve the platform in production.
Requirements
- Unix/Linux knowledge
- Experience with command line interface usage and tools
- Good programming skills in Python/Ruby/Rust
- Passionate about building systems and infrastructure
- Creative, collaborative, & product focused
