Apple’s GPU Hardware Tech team is responsible for the outstanding graphics in Apple’s chips which power everything from Apple Watch and Apple TV to iPhone and iPad.

As part of the Design Verification Team, you will work to deliver high quality graphics IP into future Apple products. As well as collaborating with experienced Design Verification Engineers, you will have the opportunity to work with the architecture team, RTL design team and software teams.

Key qualifications

  • Coursework or exposure to advanced computer architecture and logic design
  • Coursework or exposure to OOP programming using HDLs/HVLs such at SystemVerilog or C/C++
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented and well-organised working style
  • Ability to work well in a team and be productive under tight schedules
  • High level understanding of GPU architecture desirable

Description

As part of the Design Verification Team, you will support creating verification plans covering stimulus creation, checking strategy and completeness metrics. Moreover, you will collaborate with the architecture and design teams to ensure that potential issues are taken care of as early as possible in the design cycle. With mentorship, you will implement various components of the verification environment and participate in debugging testbench code as well as deep design debug. You will also work closely with the design team to ensure all cases (including corner cases) are tested and that the design behaves as intended. This is a chance to develop expertise in ASIC and SoC design and verification.

Education experience

Currently enrolled in your penultimate year of studies in a CE, EE, CS or related field
