Due to our global reach and multi-disciplinary approach, we are involved in major highways and site development projects in the UK and worldwide. With long-standing experience in planning, assessment, design and management, we offer our clients a broad spectrum of consulting services.

Therefore, our Highways staff can find themselves working in partnership with our experts in buildings, bridges, tunnels, geotechnics, environmental consulting and transport planning.

During your placement you'll help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients. While you'll have a great deal of responsibility from day one, we'll give you the chance to take on more as you progress and broaden your skills.
What are we looking for?
For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
- Studying a BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in Highways
- Interest in and application of digital skills, such as computer coding for design automation, BIM and virtual or augmented reality is an advantage
- Interest in and application of sustainability or lean practices is an advantage.
To be eligible, you must be studying a degree course that allows you to complete an industrial placement programme.
Arup Summer Internships opportunities typically run for 6-8 weeks. You must be available to start on the opportunity during Summer 2022 and commit to completing the programme in full.
At the end of your placement, you will have the opportunity to be considered for a graduate opportunity at Arup.
