Graduate Technical Consultant 2021
We are now recruiting for recent graduates that have the talent and ambition to become skilled Technical Consultants. The one year graduate programme we offer, starts with a week of intensive training on Fusion 360 CAD, CAM, Generative Design and API to give you an initial insight into design and manufacturing that you can build upon over the course of your career.
Following the training courses, you will begin a series of ten-week rotations around the different departments at our Birmingham site including; Autodesk Technology Centre, Process Specialist Team, Research and Innovation team and Additive Research teams. As well as a variety of rotations within the UK, you will have the opportunity to undertake a 10-week secondment to one of our overseas offices in North America (travel restrictions allowing). You will be given every opportunity to use your knowledge and enthusiasm on projects supporting organisations around the world involved in the design, manufacture and quality control of products in a huge range of industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, media & entertainment, and consumer goods.
As part of one of the largest companies in the software industry, you will work alongside teams of experienced engineers on challenging industry focused projects. As your skills develop, you will be expected to learn, understand and use the software that Autodesk develops and sells to solve complex engineering problems and deliver high quality results in a timely manner.
As your knowledge and expertise grows by working alongside experienced Autodesk engineers, you will be helping our customers and prospects understand how they can reduce design & manufacturing cycle times whilst improving product quality and reducing costs by using Autodesk software solutions. You will collaborate with the development teams to ensure the continued development of innovative technology. You will be participating in a variety of projects from a wide range of different industry sectors.

Responsibilities
- Work on real engineering problems with a team of experienced industry professionals
- Learn how to automate design and manufacturing processes through development of bespoke applications
- Gain knowledge of the complex problems that Autodesk customers solve by using the powerful outcomes delivered by Autodesk software solutions
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 120 UCAS points (2017 UCAS tariff scale) and predicated 1st or 2i degree
The Ideal Candidate
- New graduates with first or upper second-class degrees in Mechanical, Aerospace, Product Design Engineering or similar
- A real enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions for solving design, additive and subtractive manufacturing problems
- Experience with Fusion 360 is desirable but not essential
