As a Project manager within IT you will be involved in he management of IT projects, typically involving the development and implementation of IT toolsets and related business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. The adoption and adaptation of IT project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
Follow you passion with the following responsibilities:
- To liaise with programme management, customer, IT Suppliers and project teams.
- To manage the agreement of solution to a given business need, and the optimisation of solution cost vs benefit.
- To effectively exploit the Group IM&T partners and suppliers, and related BAE Systems IT Catalogue and/or services.
- To ensure project is compliant with IM&T Policies.
- To determine the optimal IT project management methodologies to exploit based on the context of the project.
- To plan, manage and monitor the production of the required deliverables throughout the project.
- To manage project risks, including the development of contingency plan
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or predicted to obtain, a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
