Join our Highways team as a Procurement Assistant and you’ll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work!
What you'll be doing
As Procurement Assistant you will have the following responsibilites:
- To conduct supply chain data analysis to identify opportunities and share insight
- To establish strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure actions and notes are put on to our internal SHERPA application.
- Assist in organising supplier events.
- Maintain robust approach to Supply Chain Management benefit capture
- Develop and drive performance through a Supply Chain Performance Management Dashboard, containing KPIs, Milestones and Risks associated with such topics as:
- Supply Chain Performance Management
- Supply Chain Risk Management
- Delivery of Safety, Customer and Delivery related benefits
- Proactively promote the benefits of supply chain management within Highways
- Embrace an integrated working style to support projects and the wider Business Unit.
- Report on the supply chain performance measurement
- engender behavioural activities to develop a more mature and close supply partner base.
- Support embedment of sustainable procurement.
- Support the implementation for Digital Transformation across the Business Unit.
Who we're looking for
The following skills and experience are required:
- Strong administrative skills including Excel, Power BI and Power Apps
- Strong analytical ability
- Supply chain experience OR relevant transferable skills is required.
- Professional membership of the CIPS or similar is desirable.
