The programme
Barings is seeking candidates for a summer internship position on the Research, Analytics and Quant team. The team combines mathematical model development with market research to forecast investment performance, construct portfolios, and design customized product solutions that are tailored to our clients’ individual needs. In addition, the position will help in building and maintaining Barings’ financial data inventory and data management system. After the 9-week internship program, outstanding performers will be considered for positions in the Barings Analyst Program upon graduation.

About you
Qualifications
- Degree completion date of June 2023
- Passion for the markets and quantitative analytics
- STEM or quantitative finance/economics background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advance Excel skills
- Basic programming skills, preferably: VBA, SQL, Python, and/or C++/C#
- Ability to manage large data sets
- Statistical analysis
- Knowledge about financial modeling
- Strong communication abilities to convey complex and quantitative concepts across teams
