Exciting opportunity to join Beazley’s Finance team. We are looking for a Tax Assistant to joing our Tax team within Finance Operations. This is a permanent role, based from either our London or Birmingham office, however can be worked remotely as we are a smart working employer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of corporation tax returns for the UK and Irish group entities.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT and IPT returns for the UK and Irish group entities.
  • Corporation tax and IPT payments across Europe.
  • Preparation and submission of PSA returns.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of UK and overseas tax reporting for Lloyd’s of London.
  • Assisting with tax accounting and reporting for entity and consolidated financial statements.
  • Assisting on other tax and finance projects, including R&D claims
  • Where possible improving the tax compliance processes, controls and systems.
  • Ad Hoc tax or accounting tasks including co-ordination and collection of information to prepare internal reports.
  • Support the Tax Manager with other areas of taxation as required.
  • To comply with relevant Beazley procedures and policies.

Personal Specification:

  • University degree in finance/ business/ accounting preferred
  • Willing to study towards accounting and/or tax qualification (ATT/CTA/ACCA)
  • Willing to specialise in tax
