Geometric Integration 

We are seeking an intern to work within our Geometric Integration team at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars starting July 2024 for a period of 13 months.

The team is responsible for supporting geometry requirements within the future project launches and supporting development to ensure the customers requirements can be met on a statistical basis. We are also responsible for and geometrical problem analysis and validating pre series components with our external suppliers and the development teams. You will be working within a team of 10-15 highly motivated individuals working across various different disciplines.

What will you be doing?

  • Working with the Geometric Integration team to support new model introduction via cubing activities (zero tolerance body build up).
  • Geometric validation of vehicles through the Gap and Profile process, including analysis and presentation of data and findings.
  • Project work to define data analysis approaches and methods, and digitalisation opportunities within the department and its interactions with the wider business.
  • Detail measurements on vehicles and parts to support complex problem solving and analysis
  • Working within the team to develop yourself and the department in general with process improvements and integration of new technologies into the business.

Qualifications

  • Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a relevant Engineering course.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, and ability to show high attention to detail in every task.
  • Able to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements, prioritise activities, work under pressure, multi-task and solve problems.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office 365 software and Outlook, knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
