Logistics Material Planning Placement

The role will be working within the Material Planning department with the opportunity to obtain full process knowledge on customer order process and parts supply. The department is responsible for the supply of all production-related material into the assembly hall to build a quality vehicle from approximately 350 suppliers worldwide. We are also responsible for the supply of consumable and maintenance items across the plant, steering of inbound transport and delivery assurance.

What will you be doing?

  • Obtain full process knowledge of vehicle flow, customer order and parts supply.
  • Communicate with suppliers and develop negotiation skills.
  • Develop KPI’s to support the progression of the subjects assigned.
  • Build an understanding of all logistics departments at Plant Oxford.
  • Project work to support self-development.
  • Gain understanding and business experience.
  • Collaborate with established teams to achieve business and personal goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, analytical and logical.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and contribute ideas.
  • Confident and clear thinking under pressure.
