Did you know BT has a hand in the security of every online payment you make? Or that we tackle of 4,000 cyber-attacks a day? Well, it’s true, we do. Cyber security is becoming more and more important in today’s world, from combatting DDOS attacks to stopping phishing emails, to designing new products to help keep companies networks’ secure. Our cyber grads play a vital role in keeping our all of customers safe, from individuals to multinational businesses, as well as the most important organisation of them all – us!
We’ve got lots of different areas of cyber security for you to get stuck into. From working reactively in our security operations centre, to threat intelligence and research, to creating new software and network security products, you’ve got plenty of opportunities. One minute you could find yourself working with one of our customers, helping them to develop and deploy some new top secret security solutions. The next, you can be scouring our networks, hunting for threats. It’s all in a day’s work for our graduates.
We’ll teach you what you need to know to become a specialist in all things cyber, you don’t need to be a buff already. Starting with some basic security theory and concepts, on top of the relevant laws and ethics, you’ll also learn how to apply cyber security to IT infrastructure, how to defend against attack techniques, and everything in between.
Our cyber graduates are at the forefront of some of the work we do here. Some of it is completely top secret, so we couldn’t tell you about it, even if we wanted to. So if you’ve got an interest in cyber security, big data analytics, next generation dynamic network security, forensics or threat research, we might be the place for you.

Entry requirements
A 2.1 in a relevant STEM subject. We’ll also accept a 2.2 with a relevant postgraduate qualification. Because of the nature of the work we do some of our cyber security roles will require security clearance. Don’t worry, a member of the Early Careers Team will talk you through this.
