Whether you’re looking at future innovation, defining strategy, protecting customers through security, or working with teams across BT to develop new products, tools and systems – or maintain current ones – there are countless challenges to tackle and opportunities to develop during our programme.
During your placement, we’ll focus on helping you build a broad future skill-set, across the Technology life-cycle. You’ll learn about designing, developing, testing and operating our systems, most of which deliver vital services to our customers. And our customers range from small business with just one or two staff, to large global FTSE 100 companies. When we say the systems you’ll be working on deliver vital services, it’s really true.
You might also get the chance to work on some Digital Analytics as well, tracking the adoption of our Digital Workplace tool sets.
No matter exactly which project you work on, you’ll be developing & bringing to life methodologies in an agile & human centred environment. We’ll also help you work on your soft skills, such as managing and working with stakeholders across the business. And on top of that, we’ll help you see things from a commercial perspective, so you see valuable opportunities when they arise, as well as talk our customers through them in a way which is simple to understand.
You’ll need to demonstrate your passion for technology, but it’s not all just about being technical. While we do ask for STEM degree, it doesn’t need to be computer science. We have systems and tools in place to help you develop your skills, and we’ll also continue to give you the training and development you need to make sure you’ve got the skills and knowledge to succeed.
