Systems Engineering Graduate 2021

This is a great first role for someone who has keen interest in making processes and systems run smoother, you will be able to get hands on and see some of our great manufacturing equipment up close. Working as part of a team to design, install, monitor and develop manufacturing equipment and assembly lines in the bakery.

You will use your knowledge to make sure we are getting the best out of our systems, by:

• Plant Control Systems (PLC’s) reviews and re-designs.
• Discussing and evaluating system failures.
• Demonstrating new and existing equipment to engineers, support staff and production managers
• Meeting with managers to discuss methods of improving the productivity of existing systems, taking into consideration the use of the latest technology.
• Plus many more great opportunities to improve the efficiency of the site, as well as future projects looking at automation and robotics.

So if you are a software or computer science graduate, with a keen interest in manufacturing & engineering processes then this is the role for you. It would also be a great role for an Engineering related graduate with some knowledge of programming.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

This would be a great role for a Computer Science, Programmer or Engineering related graduate with some programming experience.

You will need to enjoy acting as a problem solver and solution provider. You’ll be spending most of your time onsite, spending time learning about the operations within the Bakery. So great communication skills are needed, as you have to work with operations and engineers to help them get the best out of the manufacturing systems.

Food Manufacturing in a fast paced environment, so you’ll need to be proactive, think of solutions on your feet, able to work to short deadlines and be happy to roll your sleeves up.
