About the job

Sitting within our Acoustics team in Manchester, the successful applicant would be expected to get involved in specialist technical work such as noise & vibration monitoring, modelling and analysis, whilst working as part of a small, integrated, progressive team. There is the opportunity to get involved in both environmental and architectural acoustics projects from day one.

Our work is varied and widespread supporting our clients on projects both locally and throughout the UK as required. We value innovation, while always seeking to provide commercial solutions to complex environmental issues.

BWB is a leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy with over 300 people based in 5 offices throughout the UK. We have an established reputation for delivering high quality environmental and engineering consultancy services to corporate, industrial, development and financial clients across a variety of sectors.

The Acoustics team are a rapidly expanding part of BWB’s environmental service offering, with involvement at all stages in the planning cycle, from feasibility through to master planning and the discharge of planning conditions. We also provide strategic advice and asset management services, and offer clever solutions to some challenging acoustics issues. We are also growing our capability to better serve clients on architectural acoustics projects and building services design.

We are working on many different types of projects, including new road schemes, new settlements, high-rise city centre buildings, supermarkets, car dealerships, energy centres and airport work.

About you

  • A relevant degree or studying towards a relevant degree for the role you are applying for, such as Acoustics
  • Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better 
  • Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience - academically, socially and in any previous work situations
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress 
  • A problem solver with strong communication skills 
  • Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team 
  • Right to Work and live in the UK
