The programme
Our Graduate Programme is the perfect place for you if you are an ambitious and passionate individual. You will receive independent mentoring, support through to Chartership and the opportunity to gain responsibility on a range of exciting projects.

About the role
The successful applicant would be expected to undertake specialist technical work such as air and odour dispersion modelling, air quality/odour/dust monitoring and report writing whilst working as part of a growing, integrated, progressive team. There is the opportunity to work on projects from proposal stage right through to completion, to be involved with Project Management and to contribute towards the management of project finances, and undertake mentoring tasks for junior team members. The successful applicant will also be expected to undertake business development activities and key account management and have a significant contribution to the direction and growth of our team.
Our work is varied and widespread supporting our clients on projects both locally and throughout the UK as required. We value innovation, while always seeking to provide commercial solutions to complex environmental issues.
BWB is a leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy with over 300 people based in five offices throughout the UK. We have an established reputation for delivering high quality environmental and engineering consultancy services to corporate, industrial, development and financial clients across a variety of sectors.
The Air Quality team are a rapidly expanding part of BWB’s environmental service offering, with involvement at all stages in the planning cycle from feasibility through to master planning, planning application support and the discharge of planning conditions. We also provide strategic advice and asset management services, and offer clever solutions to some challenging issues. We are also growing our capability to offer air quality monitoring, odour assessments and Environmental Permitting consultancy services.

About you
- A relevant degree such as an air quality or environmental sciences related degree, or studying towards a relevant degree for the role you are applying for
- An appropriate Master’s degree is also desirable
- Willing to work towards an associate membership of the Institution of Environmental Sciences and Institute of Air Quality Management. An appropriate Master’s degree is also desirable
- Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better
- Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience - academically, socially and in any previous work situations
- Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress
- A problem solver with strong communication skills
- Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team
- Right to Work and live in the UK
