The programme
Our Graduate Programme is the perfect place for you if you are an ambitious and passionate individual. About the role
The role provides an opportunity to grow and develop in a fast-paced, professional environment. Support from experienced engineers would quickly see you producing design solutions and CAD drawings for our rail projects. You will start work on a variety of projects, with an emphasis on skills development to help you up the learning curve. You will quickly start working more independently on larger and more challenging projects.
The position is for a graduate with strong aspirations to pursue an engineering career in the rail industry. You will work alongside experienced designers to develop skills in track design, drainage, earthworks, bridges, structures and signalling design, together with gaining an appreciation of sustainable development whilst working on a range of different projects, all with their own unique requirements and end solutions.
The Rail team provides a comprehensive design and advisory service focused on meeting the engineering challenges involved in servicing the infrastructure requirements of renewal, enhancement and turnkey projects.
We work across all types of railway systems and our clients range from local developers through to international contractors working for public sector bodies.
We aim to create a working environment that provides challenge, enjoyment and a real sense of satisfaction with a view to encouraging personal and professional development in all our staff.
About you
- A relevant degree or studying towards a relevant degree for the role you are applying for, such as Civil Engineering
- Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better
- Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience - academically, socially and in any previous work situations
- Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress
- A problem solver with strong communication skills
- Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team
- Right to Work and live in the UK
