About the role

The purpose of the internship is to put in place a project portfolio governance for all activities managed by the VRF Infra team. The selected intern will be part of a team of approximately 12 developers from various levels of seniority, from diverse citizenships and from multiple locations (Ireland, France, Germany, US, Taiwan), and will report to the Director of R&D who manages the team.

The scope of the internship will be threefold:

People

• Get to know the team and understand their background, their role and contribution
• Propose ways to leverage each individual’s contribution (e.g. score cards, tackle bottle necks, etc…)
• Propose ways to leverage the team’s contribution (e.g. prioritization calls, portfolio value metric, etc…)

Process

• Understand the process that Cadence has deployed to address their objectives
• Make recommendations to reuse what works best and address inefficiencies
• Put in place a new portfolio governance that matches the company culture & its objectives

Tools

• Analyze existing tools and solutions available in-house or on the Market (Dame, Jira, Confluence, PowerBI, others…)
• Create new tools or enhance existing tools to support the need of the team and the Portfolio governance
• Launch the solution and educate stake holders until the new governance is fully endorsed
