As a member of the Information Security team, you will ensure the efficient and effective operation of security infrastructure and delivery of security services, on premise and within the Azure cloud computing service. You will be required to proactively improve and provide advice and guidance on information security matters, support, and maintenance of the of the company’s IT policies and security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security and risk guidance for projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technical controls to reduce risk
  • Work with and manage key security vendors to ensure services are provided to the agreed levels
  • Reviewing SOC reports and dashboards and provide any proactive responses
  • Manage security tooling and integration with support from MSSP
  • Manage third party security due diligence and audits
  • Promote security and compliance culture
  • Perform assurance activities to monitor the effectiveness of controls and corrective actions with the control owners and stakeholders
  • Manage gap analysis, compliance readiness, and compliance monitoring activities
  • Address questions from internal and external security audits and assessments
  • Coordinate and roll out a comprehensive information security awareness training strategy, as defined by the Chief Information Security Officer
  • Manage and governance of Office 365 Security and Compliance
  • Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
  • Research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
  • Develop good internal client relationships, including high quality customer service and delivery
  • Management of own task list and appropriate prioritisation within overall team, department, and company requirements

Skills and experience

  • Degree in IT or a closely related field
  • Strong understanding of cyber security risks and associated control implementation to reduce the risk to an acceptable level
  • Problem solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns, and trends
  • Good team working skills to collaborate with team members and clients
  • Good verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with a range of technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience of creating, reviewing, and updating processes and procedures
  • Time-management and organisational skills to manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats and at times of high demand
