Join us as a graduate planner and you’ll help to shape the future of places. We have five planning hubs across the country; London Borough of Barnet (our joint venture known as Re), Breckland, Manchester, North Tyneside and Belfast and we support flexible, home working.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Processing mainly planning and related applications (householder, change of uses, prior approvals, certificates and discharge of conditions) in a timely manner
  • producing robust reports and recommendations to achieve desired and deliverable outcomes
  • providing pre application development management and planning policy advice on planning matters to your clients
  • provide concise, accurate, justified and timely reports and recommendations on mainly planning and related applications (householder, change of uses, prior approvals, certificates and discharge of conditions) and pre application discussions applying current legislation and policy changes as appropriate
  • become involved in service improvements and our business operations to ensure resilience competitive edge, efficiency and effectiveness going forward
  • be willing to travel to meet our client requirements. Driving license required.

What We’re Looking For

  • a graduate with a relevant qualification
  • have or be working towards Student or Licentiate Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • a good understanding of the planning process
  • the ability to work with a range of clients
  • good IT skills, including experience with database and spreadsheet packages
  • a good team player who can work collaboratively.
