Core Advisory Junior Rotation Programme overview

Core Advisory is made up of five service lines specialising in Workplace Strategy & Change, Occupancy Management, Portfolio Strategy, Talent & Location and Supply Chain & Consumer Advisory, offering real estate consulting services across EMEA.

This opportunity offers the breadth of experience needed to work across almost all areas of our business. We are looking to build a pool of 8 Consultants who will be assigned over a two year period to work on client projects gaining experience covering the following disciplines;- Workplace, Portfolio Strategy, Occupancy, Talent & Location and Supply Chain & Consumer. At the end of the programme the Consultant will be given the opportunity to progress their career in their chosen discipline(s)

Successful candidates will have the benefit of access to the initiatives and development opportunities in the wider CBRE Next Generation programme and a suite of internal learning and development programmes.

What you'll do

Some examples of the type of work and projects are;-

  1.  The coordination and undertaking of strategic data gathering exercise of the physical, cultural and technological aspects of a working environment followed by the analysis and presentation of these results. Working closely and supporting project teams the information gathered will be translated into a meaningful concept / strategy, for space budget and ultimate client brief that aligns with business drivers and supports the organization.
  2. To work effectively at all levels of the organisation and will work towards being able to confidently influence others, including executive leadership, towards a common vision. At the heart of this is a pro-active, client focused approach, where the ability to communicate and partner with multiple stakeholders is crucial.
  3. The role will require demonstrable project and change management experience. Assist in the design and delivery visioning sessions, workshops and focus groups.
  4. Conduct and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from research such as surveys, utilization studies Determine spatial requirements and development of space budget, understanding and knowledge of building code and occupational standards
  5. Synthesize research from internal and external sources into the appropriate briefs

Who you are

  • Qualified to degree level in related field such as Architecture, Design, Occupational Psychology. (not compulsory)
  • Understanding of current best practices and trends in the workplace and other architecture and design fields
  • Understanding and knowledge of building regulations and occupational standards
  • An appreciation of change management principles is valuable
  • Ability to multi-task on concurrent projects, under tight time frames
  • A high level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and patience
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills and attention to detail, working knowledge of data manipulation tools such as MS Access, Excel, Tableau Python and supply chain analytic tools such as Llamasoft's Supply Chain Guru / LogicNet Plus, PC Miler, SMC3 Batch Rating, etc  
  • Comfortable translating large data sets into compelling findings 
  • Ability to present and articulate ideas and analyses
  • Design / CAD skills are desirable, as well as the ability to read, review and mine all types of drawing information for key metrics.
  • Practical hands-on experience of profiling a business and developing a workplace strategy aligned to business need
  • Can evidence knowledge of or experience in qualitative and quantities research methods, agile/flexible/activity based working concept design, space budgeting, test-fit creation/oversight, workplace concept/guideline development, and the use of technology as an enabler
  • Softer skills relating to gaining business buy in/stakeholder management, relationship building, confident to lead client conversations, sell the workplace proposition and deal with resistance around the proposed change
