What we're looking for

Position overview

Citrix is rapidly developing and growing its portfolio of large-scale cloud applications across all product lines, including app/desktop virtualisation, networking, and content collaboration.

These applications must deliver enterprise-grade performance, reliability, and integration while utilising consumer internet economies of scale in multiple clouds (and in hybrid scenarios that reach behind the enterprise firewall). This requires excellent architecture and a DevOps mentality in software development, operations, and site reliability engineering.

In this position, you'll be joining the workspace team whose goal is to deliver an extraordinary SaaS experience to our customers, maintaining and improving upon our uptime targets. You'll be responsible for engineering public cloud services and embracing a DevOps culture as well as helping technical architecture and standards/process discussions to deliver the best customer experience in collaboration with staff, principal engineers and architects.

Role responsibilities

You will be part of a team of SRE and DevOps engineers who automate and improve our pipelines following the DORA metrics as well as develop our cloud infrastructure to reach a consistent uptime higher than 99.95% and global presence with a high degree of scalability in mind.

  • Develop software and provide hands-on technical expertise to craft, deploy, and optimise Cloud services.
  • Improve the Security, Availability and Performance of the systems you build while managing Cloud Costs (COGS) and maintain Compliance guardrails.
  • Build automation using industry tools (like Jenkins, Ansible, Spinnaker, etc) to deploy hundreds of different services.
  • Help promote and contribute to standard methodologies on cloud services API usage and end-to-end architecture.
  • Work with other development teams to craft scalable, reliable systems using cloud native architecture principles.
  • Identify and address patterns in infrastructure and applications that can be solved with a common solution.
  • Participate in on-call escalations when needed.

Basic qualifications

We'd like you to have some knowledge of Linux and Windows workloads and ideally some software development experience in C#./NET/Python.

  • Ideally you’ll have some experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Some understanding of IP stack and network protocols and DevSecOps practices
  • Have exposure in writing applications using any language such as C# .NET, python, Golang.

Functional area
