How can you change it up?

Joining our busy GIS Team, you’ll be given responsibility from day one to start working on your own City projects, taking responsibility for translating our fibre network infrastructure designs into a GIS environment, allowing us to build a network which is fit for purpose and future proof. When you join us, you’ll work closely with your team to refine your skills, broaden your knowledge and kickstart a successful, long-lasting career that grows with our business.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the design pack for the construction phase of a project
  • Designing networks in a GIS environment
  • General administration of the GIS system data and maintaining the asset data in a centralised system
  • Ensuring GIS and asset documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
  • Helping to deal with ad hoc GIS requests from both internal and external teams

What will you bring to the role?

You’ll have a degree in either GIS, Geography or something with an Environmental focus, and ideally some working experience in a GIS role.

Working knowledge of one (or more) of these software packages is also important: GE Smallworld, PNI, ArcGIS Desktop, QGIS or FME.

With your enthusiasm, attitude and interpersonal skills, you’ll soon feel like part of the team, where you’ll receive the support, guidance and training you need to thrive and excel at CityFibre.

Our unique culture

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity, we believe everyone has a voice and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. We back each other, think smart and act fast, and we’re passionate about giving it our best to build a legacy together.
