What could I be involved in as an Operational Delivery Fast Streamer?

On this scheme you’ll gain leadership skills in the largest profession in the Civil Service. You’ll learn to lead through others, and help turn government strategy, policies and plans into action. Working across different government departments such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defence, the Home Office or HM Revenue and Customs, you’ll build experience in a variety of challenging roles. You’ll gain people management experience leading teams of dedicated civil servants delivering essential public services. And you’ll help transform people’s lives for the better.

Training includes

Our Fast Stream core training will enable you to develop a range of practical and leadership skills. Operational Delivery-specific training includes working to gain a Chartered Management Institute Level 6 in Leadership and Management qualification, and specialist Executive Leadership courses in Year 3. As well as on-the-job learning, mentoring and extra-curricular activity will enhance your development.

  • A 2:2 or higher degree, or degree apprenticeship (or be expecting to achieve this) in any subject.
