Following a year of significant growth, Winterflood Securities is seeking a  Junior/Graduate Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join its Risk practice.

In this existing role, the incumbent will prepare and assist in the delivery of Regulatory Reporting Returns and when required to provide ad-hoc support to the wider Risk team.

The role would suit candidates with initial Regulatory Reporting experience, looking to further their career within the Finance or Risk space.

Key responsibilities

  • To help maintain a timely and accurate reporting function, ensuring that Winterflood Securities’ reporting frameworks managed by the risk team are up to date and aligned with regulatory rulebooks and guidance.
  • To help produce and develop the required regulatory reporting returns for the FCA and PRA. Including quarterly IFPR returns and the COREP Liquidity and Capital returns/working to ensure these returns are kept up to date with the changing regulatory rules and guidance and any changes to business profile.
  • To help maintain the daily and monthly liquidity stress testing
  • Assist in the production of management information for RCC and other relevant meeting and forums.
  • To assist in the ICARA process
  • To assist in responding to ad-hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • To develop a deep and current understanding of the drivers of financial markets, new and current trends, to ensure identification and understanding of emerging and existing risks
  • To develop strong positive working relationships with other departments, in particular Finance, Compliance & Technology
  • To provide support to the wider Risk team
  • To build and maintain a strong culture of compliance, risk management, integrity, client focus and other such Winterflood or Close Brothers values

Required skills and knowledge

  • Minimum 2.1 Undergraduate Degree (Accounting * Finance or STEM subject preferred)
  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a Reg Reporting function (specifically CoRep Reporting Capital or Liquidity) however strong recent Graduates with no experience will also be considered
  • Demonstrable interest in Financial Markets
  • Advance Excel experience (VBA)
  • Knowledge of Alteryx (desired)
  • Approachable and a good team player
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Effective and proficient communication and written skills
  • Ability to prioritise, be responsive, and respond to changing environments
