As a Production Coordinator you will report directly to the Operation Manager, and will assist with Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement of the manufacturing processes. During a 24 month program, you will gain experience in multiple functions within the Manufacturing Operations, including Production, Engineering, Quality & Planning, whilst also applying Continuous Improvement techniques. 

At the end of the program, you will be ready to take up a more senior position within the organisation such as an Engineer, Planner or Supervisor, based on your main strengths demonstrated throughout your first 24 months. Most importantly, you will gain leadership and team working skills needed for a successful career in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities 

  • The design, development, and implementation of training programs for production operatives.
  • Streamlining reporting process such as KPIs, and analysing gaps in performance
  • Planning & assisting with recruitment on production operative vacancies
  • Defining and implementing improvements to both the management and manufacturing processes
  • Preparing presentations and delivering report to senior members of the leadership team, with recommendations where applicable
  • Contribute and lead continuous improvement projects, and work to obtain Lean Six Sigma certifications
  • Support with routine cost control, budgeting and cost reduction events
  • Assist with capacity planning & material inventory analysis
  • Implement digital solutions to streamline manual and/or paper systems
  • Assist with Safety & Environmental programmes
  • Contribute to the introduction of new Industry 4.0 initiatives

About you

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in an Engineering subject
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong proficiency with computer software skills, including Office 360.

Desirable

  • Hold any Relevant Training qualifications or accreditations.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, which may include work placements, temporary summer work, industrial sponsored student projects
  • Have experience of solutions applicable to Industry 4.0 Initiatives
  • Advanced skills in Office 360 Power applications, such as Power Apps, Power BI & Power Automate
