Finance Work Placement Birmingham (2022)

We are financial service center for Continental Automotive UK companies and responsible for all financial matters of 4 companies. We are looking for a motivated accounting/finance working student who is passionate to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to real world experiences.

The working student will assist with a wide range of duties, including preparing financial reports, and learning about various accounting/finance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a career in finance and a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an accounting/finance position.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with all planning and analysing of company’s financial data
• Assist with month-end financial reports
• Help with accounts receivable, account payable and various controlling tasks
• Assist with audits
• Assist with balance sheet accounts reconciliation
• Support with payment processing
• Various ad-doc tasks within finance

Requirements

• Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting studies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially excel. Other like SAP is a benefit but not must.
• Aptitude for mathematics and numbers
• Good verbal and written communication
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Available to work full time each week
