About the role

This position is ideal for Graphic Design students or recent graduates who are looking to gain an insight into life in an agency or commercial environment. The internship will provide a valuable opportunity to get hands-on design experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

You will be responsible for a wide range of design work from creating posters to developing marketing materials for scientific exhibitions and events, as well as illustration and interactive content. We are looking for a talented individual with a great understanding of aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail, who will gain experience in all stages of a project from the initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive candidate, and the role will involve close collaboration with all members of our established Design division who will provide full training on the technical aspects of the role. A high level of organisation and flexibility is essential as you will be working on multiple projects at a time.

About you

This internship is suited to recent graduates as well as current students who are permitted to complete full time internships either during the holidays or as a placement as a part of their degree.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • A degree level or higher qualification in a Design-based subject (minimum or expected 2.1 or equivalent), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio
  • Fluency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, as well as a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong skills in layout design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to use your initiative and work independently, in addition to working collaboratively within teams
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines

Although no previous experience in the scientific industry is required, an interest in applying graphic design to the healthcare sector would be an advantage.

The stipend for interns is £1,500 per calendar month, and you will be entitled to statutory holiday.
