Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Industrial Placement Customer Engineering Student to join our team specializing in UK Application Engineering for our Components Business Segment in Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Turbocharger specification, matching to engines and working with cross functional new product introduction teams, with project work based on the activities with a particular customer.
  • Liaising with other technical and non-technical areas within Cummins Turbo Technologies, and customers.
  • Working with customers to produce detailed specifications for new products
  • Sourcing information, interpreting, developing, and implementing solutions achieving results to agreed deadlines
  • Working with the department and with other team members on key tasks and projects, and working both independently and within teams
  • Embracing the Company values and mission

About you

​​​​​​To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Working towards a STEM degree
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken), organisational and time management skills
  • Previous experience in a customer facing environment would be an advantage
  • Ambition, flexibility, and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination, and a desire to learn and take on responsibility
