We are looking for an enthusiastic Shop Operations student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Industrial Engineering business unit in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 7 th July 2025, this placement is 100% site-based.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
- Compiling and distributing Key Performance Indicators
- Using Minitab and Excel to prepare data
- Design studies and systems to capture key manufacturing data to understand current performance
- Analyze manufacturing data to provide key recommendations for improving plant capacity and efficiency
- Compile and conduct analysis on departmental budgets as well as administrative of employee timekeeping records
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in Business Management, Data Science, or related disciplines with a desire to build your career within Operations Management. This role may also appeal to Engineering students looking to develop a Manufacturing Operations career
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Power BI and Minitab. Quick to learn IT systems
- Ability to present data effectively
