The role

We are looking for three Placement Students to join our team specializing in Technical Purchasing for our Corporate Segment based in Darlington or Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure our suppliers continue to provide the best quality and value
  • Liaising with a range of suppliers across the globe.
  • Invite new suppliers to bid and review the bid process
  • Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues
  • Process engineering releases to take the appropriate purchasing actions
  • Support Cummins in ensuring we stay competitive

About you

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Currently studying a Bachelors or Masters degree, ideally in Business, Engineering, or a related subject (and not graduating this academic year).
  • Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
