Our intensive programme

Join us as a Business Management Graduate, and you’ll spend two years building up knowledge and skills in different companies, different divisions, and potentially different countries as well. This programme puts you at the heart of the action, where you’ll take on a diverse range of responsibilities and experiences across our global business.

Learn from the best in the business

We’re proud to say we have some truly amazing managers working at DCC. So as a Business Management Graduate, you’ll be able to spend two years learning from the very best. It’s a great opportunity to build up your commercial skills and experience while also gaining exposure to procurement, retail, HR, logistics, operations, sales and marketing and more.

A typical day could include:

  • Contributing to post-acquisition integration projects
  • Working with senior management on business forecasting and planning
  • Managing sales projects as part of a fast-paced central function
  • Managing business change projects
  • Developing Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Managing IT system implementation
  • Enjoying a team lunch or socialising with colleagues after work

Ongoing development and support

We offer classroom and on-the-job training as well as funding for you to gain a professional qualification or pursue language lessons. There will also be opportunities for you to explore a wide range of career paths, potentially across all four divisions of our diverse Group. Throughout your time on the programme, you will be supported by your Line Manager, a dedicated Coach, a Graduate Buddy, your Graduate Programme Business Contact and the Graduate Programme team.

What we look for

We operate internationally – and you need to be able to do the same, with the unrestricted right to work in the UK and/or the European Economic Area (EEA). We will provide visa sponsorship for UK graduates to work in the EEA and for EEA graduates to work in the UK. However, we are unfortunately unable to provide financial sponsorship to non-EEA/non-UK applicants trying to obtain the right to work in any of DCC’s operating countries in the EEA and/or the UK. Please note that an offer of employment is contingent on having a full clean driving license by the 1st September 2022 

Ideally, your degree should have some relation to business management but it’s not essential. While there are no language requirements, French speaking capabilities would be ideal to help you excel in this role. All that matters is that you have a 2:1 or equivalent. You must also have strong team-working, communication and relationship-building skills.
