The business of law is changing, and we want you to be right there with it. To take us from largest to leading, we are looking for you to join our Dublin office to think big and see the future of law in a new way.
Eligibility
Our 2026 Dublin Trainee Solicitor Programme is open to applicants from all degree disciplines who have already completed all FE1 examinations or are in the process of completing them and will receive their results by May 2026. Please note the starting date for this role is September 2026.
The Final Examination (FE-1) is the entrance examination to the Law Society of Ireland. It is held twice a year, normally in spring and autumn and consists of eight papers on core legal subjects. For further information please visit the Law Society of Ireland website.
We also look for
- Strong academic performance in your Irish Leaving Certificate (at least 480 points) or equivalent post -16 education.
- A solid grade in your undergraduate degree, ideally and a 2:1 or higher.
These are broad guidelines, and all interested candidates are encouraged to apply. We review every application holistically and consider all aspects of a candidate's experiences and background.
If you have completed your studies outside of the UK or Ireland you can select the relevant option on the application form. This will allow you to enter your academic grades in free text boxes instead of the standard set fields. Additionally, there is a free text box available within the application form for you to provide any further information or context that does not fit within the set fields.
Before you start your application
Please note, you are not required to upload any documents at the application stage. However, you must ensure that the grades and information you provide, accurately reflect your official certificates and confirmed results. If you are invited to the assessment centre stage, we will request evidence of your right to work, educational and university grades/certificates, and FE1 information as part of our verification checks.
Our assessment centres will take place online in November 2025.
Please visit dentons.challengers.com and review our 'Dublin Trainees' section and FAQs ahead of making this application.
