Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.  We’re driving growth through our strong client franchise.  Against a backdrop of increasing globalisation in the world economy, Deutsche Bank is very well-positioned, with significant regional diversification and substantial revenue streams from all the major regions of the world.  We serve our clients’ real economic needs in commercial banking, investment banking, private banking and asset management. We are investing heavily in digital technologies, prioritising long term success over short-term gains, and serving society with ambition and integrity.  All this means a career packed with opportunities to grow and the chance to shape the future of our clients.

The Deutsche Bank GROW Insight Programme

This three-day spring insight programme has been developed to help first year students who identify as female discover where a career in banking could take them. If you’re wondering how your skills and network will develop, our programme will build your confidence and open your mind to the possibilities of a meaningful banking career.

On day one, you’ll gain insight into life at Deutsche Bank with an introduction to our business, what we do for our clients, and our role in society, and get to meet the people who make it all happen. Day two is about building your confidence and skills by coaching, mentoring and empowering you to kick-start your future in banking. And if you impress our Insight team, you might even secure a place on our 2022 Summer Internship.

This programme is for you if:

  • You might never have thought about a career in an investment bank
  • You’re not sure where your skills would fit in and need help to identify where you could build your career
  • You would like to explore different opportunities and find out more about the culture of the bank and the support available
  • You would like to know about the reality of banking, not the myths and stereotypes

What we look for

To apply for our GROW Insight Programme you must be in the first year of your undergraduate studies, or your second year of a four year course.

We are looking for highly intelligent students who are ambitious, adaptable and have a genuine interest in a career in investment banking. We’re not expecting you to have all of the knowledge but demonstrating your motivation for this opportunity and willingness to learn is key.

We are open to all degree disciplines and we will help you match your skills to opportunities at the bank during the programme. We have very comprehensive training programmes that will give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us. Above all, we’re looking for entrepreneurial people who thrive best in a diverse culture where innovation and agile thinking abound.

We are unable to sponsor visas for this programme, you must already have the right to live and work in the UK. Whilst this programme is unpaid, travel expenses for any in-person training will be reimbursed.

Virtual interviews will take place in February and the programme will take place in April 2021, exact dates to be confirmed.

This programme is designed for those who identify as female as this is a group that is currently underrepresented in our graduate programme. Being inclusive is important to us and we want to seek to reduce any barriers to entry faced by women pursuing careers in the financial sector. However we aim to recruit the candidates that are most suited to the graduate programme and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and regardless of gender or how a person identifies.

Our values define the working environment we strive to create – diverse, supportive and welcoming of different views. We embrace a culture reflecting a variety of perspectives, insights and backgrounds to drive innovation. We build talented and diverse teams to drive business results and encourage our people to develop to their full potential. Talk to us about flexible work arrangements and other initiatives we offer.

We promote good working relationships and encourage high standards of conduct and work performance.  We welcome applications from talented people from all cultures, countries, races, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities, beliefs and generations and are committed to providing a working environment free from harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
