Our UK Procurement graduate programme is all about developing leaders for our future business.Our Procurement graduates will experience different roles, gaining exposure in both Buying and Contracting. This will ensure you have an all-rounded experience of Procurement in our business and support you in making some decisions about the direction you would like to take your career in the future. Our Graduates support contracts such as NHS Supply Chain or the Public Sector, helping to drive quality and value. The ultimate end goal of the program is developing into a Buyer or Contracting Manager.

Procurement is the act of obtaining something for business purposes and can cover a whole range of areas including assets, supplies, skills, and services for the organization to continue its smooth operation. Our aim at DHL is to work collaboratively on new procurement strategies with customers and suppliers - to develop initiatives that deliver quality and value!

Our graduates are empowered to take the initiative, be inquisitive, ask questions and make changes. You will actively get involved in different teams and be given the chance to achieve high-impact results that make a difference to our business, customers, and the environment.

What will the programme look like?

  • 24 -month structured Programme (2 x 12-month placements)
  • Placements will be based in Normanton, Chester, or Northampton, and you will also be required to undertake some travel across other sites
  • Early accountability and fast progression
  • Support towards a CIPsprofessional qualification*
  • Experience of working within diverse sites and environments
  • Regular performance feedback and personal growth planning through a structured learning plan
  • Contribute to DHL's sustainability 2050 mission of zero emissions
  • Give back to your community through DHL's Foundation by helping achieve the vision to end youth unemployment

Entry Requirements:

  • Passion and motivation to start and develop a career within the Buying/Contracting industry in the UK market
  • Good sense of business acumen, commercial awareness, analytical skills and the ability to present
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license or be self-reliantto travel to multiple sites when required
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • We do not require a background and/or qualification in Supply Chain but graduates who wish to progress in the discipline
  • Must be fluent in English
  • No minimum degree grade
