What to expect

The People and Retail team has a real impact on everyone at Dunelm, finding, supporting and growing the talented and dedicated people we need for our business and making sure life here is as good as it can be. We also develop communication materials for our stores and champion Inclusion & Diversity initiatives.

Join our team as a graduate and you’ll dive straight into the bustling world of People and Retail with a structured rotational scheme that gives you hands-on experience and strategic knowledge about our customers and the way we do business.

Over two years you’ll

  • Work on-the-ground in one of our stores, where you’ll learn to deliver unforgettable customer service
  • Play a key part in our ongoing Inclusion & Diversity work, which includes education, awareness-raising and colleague engagement
  • Lead impactful projects in areas such as service and store communications, resourcing and colleague experience
  • Gain experience in many different areas of our People operations - from learning and development to recruitment, from wellbeing to reward
  • Dive into leadership workshops and development programmes that’ll shape you into a future leader
  • Get to know a member of the Executive Board of Directors with quarterly catch ups – as well as being coached by some of our brilliant minds in retail

What you’ll bring

  • A genuine passion for building your career in a Retail Head Office People function
  • The resilience and ambition to drive your own development and the eagerness to constantly seek out new learning opportunities
  • Relevant work experience, strong commercial awareness and a good understanding of general retail principles
  • Brilliant written and verbal communication skills
  • Super-strong people skills and a knack for solving problems
  • A minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent in any relevant subject
