HR Graduate - Central Services 2021
Join us as a HR Graduate on our two year programme starting in September 2021 where you will complete seats across a range of areas within our DWF HR function. You will develop knowledge, skills and experience to drive our people and help shape our colleague experience. You will also work to gain a Level 7 CIPD qualification.

The Programme
Over the course of the two year programme, you will move between some of the different teams within People Investment to gain a detailed understanding of how HR services are provided to the business and the crucial role that People Investment play at DWF. Those seats will include:
HR Shared Services & Payroll
The HR Shared Services team are the first point of contact for employees across DWF for all HR Administration, from new joiner offer paperwork through to leaver related processes. The team manages payroll, the HR system and employee data and MI. During this placement, the successful candidate will get an excellent grounding and overview of the administrative processes that inform the employee lifecycle and an overview of how HR data is captured, stored and maintained by the team.
Reward
The Reward team are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the employee reward package from informing compensation levels through to managing the DWF Share Plans. The team works closely with the HR business Partnering team to deliver the annual pay review and bonus process, maintains the global career banding structure and is responsible for the annual benefits renewal and review. The successful candidate will get a good understanding of Reward strategy and how this is delivered to the business during their time with the team.
HR Business Partnering and Advisory
The HR Business Partnering and Advisory team are responsible for the delivery of the key people processes such as talent and succession management, performance reviews and target operating models as well as all employee relations within the business. The team operates a matrix structure which works across the different divisions and locations to give the business help and support to lead, manage and develop their teams to drive performance. The successful candidate will gain an understanding of the HR Policies and procedures DWF operate and get exposure to projects and cyclical processes that are run by the team.
Learning & Development
The Learning & Development team encompasses career and personal development, supporting the delivery of formal qualifications, technical training and business skills. Our Emerging Talent team focus on the attraction, development and retention of apprentices and trainees through structured qualification programmes. By working in these areas the successful candidate would gain knowledge of how to apply the full training cycle, from needs analysis to design, delivery and evaluation as well as learning how to administer training through a Learning Management System, deliver assessment centres and organize work experience schemes.
Learning & development team encompasses the delivery of development from study support and technical learning through to business and softer skills. The team also encompasses all Emerging Talent recruitment and development specifically focused at our Legal Trainees, Apprentices and our support function Graduate Programme. Through working with this team the successful candidate will gain oversight of the different ways learning is delivered to the business to support talent pipelines and business performance.

The successful candidate will have a desire to be a part of a fast-paced and changing environment to support the team in delivering results and the ability to identify and resolve problems as they arise and keep cool under pressure.
Skills/qualities
- Highly personable with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- A desire to develop and work towards a recognised professional HR qualification;
- Sound commercial awareness;
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel;
- High level of attention to detail with significant emphasis on quality of work;
- Proven experience of working effectively and collaboratively in a team; and
- The ability to be resilient and effectively juggle multiple competing priorities
Process
Minimum qualifications required
As a general rule, you will be expected to meet the following requirements (or equivalents)
- Minimum 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade C;
- 3 A-levels or equivalent at grades C;
- 2:1 degree in any discipline (preferably Business or HR).

Training and development
Upon joining the DWF Graduate Scheme, you will be exposed to a number of key employees who will assist in training and developing your skills and knowledge throughout the programme.
