Our Environmental Care category has ambitious plans to scale its existing product range.  To maximise our potential, it is essential that Dyson demonstrates credibility and evidence superiority within specific fields, at both a global and local market level with a relevant approach. The Breathe London Wearable and Lockdown activities using our leading mobile air quality sensing backpacks has positioned Dyson in the ambient air quality space and contributes to our credibility. Our unique 4+ million connected air purifier products across the world are gathering indoor air quality data.

Altogether this data enables a better understanding of our exposure, in association to product behaviour and allows us to harvest insights for our global markets and internal teams. Enabling engineering led activities in markets will allow us to demonstrate our technologies better than ever before through persuasive demonstration of their benefits in a consumer-relevant format that underpins Dyson’s core values.

About the role

As a Graduate Engineer you will support the engineering activities to maximise the commercial potential of existing, launching, and in-development products.  The role links up our markets and commercial strategies with our products technologies and features to help explain our technology and improve customer satisfaction scores.

You will support the markets internationally in their use of the air quality backpacks with journalists, influencers, and environmental advocates, to promote awareness and education of air quality exposure.  Additionally, you may support internal and external air quality research, to drive our understanding and expertise. You will help to demonstrate product and technology benefits in a format our users would be able to understand.  Working with our markets and external partners to deliver credible and meaningful assets.

Accountabilities

  • Convert engineering support request into defined work packages for the technical teams to deliver against
  • Create solutions to market needs related to explaining our technology – conceptualise and design demo’s, supply literature, support training
  • You will support internal and external air quality research projects specifically using the air quality backpack to drive education, with the aim of learning more about air pollution
  • You will need to translate business need from our stakeholders into technical requirements
  • Collaborate with a network of internal teams including Engineering, Commercial and Communication to develop our stories, sharing best practice and escalating risks & issues when they arise
  • Provide information on how our products work, ranging from out of box setup to maintenance and troubleshooting, to when and how to use specific features. This might be articles for Dyson Community, briefings to Creative teams, or clarifications for local market teams
