The Opportunity
There has never been a more exciting time to join our company through our Commercial Graduate Programme across our EDF UK business areas. Placementsa will be within our Customers, Nuclear and Renewales business areas which have collaborated to deliver an inclusive prgoramme with inspiring opportunities. We're looking for talented graduates with influencing skills and a strong commercial focus to join us at this exciting point in our journey to achieve our collaborative ambition - to be the best at solving customers' energy needs. You'll have the opportunity to experience working across a wide range of areas while building both specialist and people skills.
The Training Programme
On the COmmercial Graduate Programme you'll guide the way on this journey as you understand the energy business and develop the skills and knowledge to drive commercial results and future strategy for the business.
Following a week-long induction with the graduates from all of our schemes at our state of the art facility at Cannington Court (Somerset) in September 2021, you'll spend 6 months in four different assignments during this 2-year programme, where you'll develop the skills and expertise that are critical to our success and will be invaluable to you during your career with EDF Energy.
The Placements
At the end of the graduate programme we'll support you in deciding how you want to progress your career within HPC or Renewables, and you'll head to that area for your final placement.
You won't be on your own during this journey as you'll have the support of your line manager, a recent graduate buddy and a career manager throughout the scheme.
We're passionate about your development during the graduate scheme and you'll have a tailored training path that will help develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours, both during the scheme and in your future careers. We place a particular focus on your soft skill development, with a range of learning interventions ranging from stakeholder management, leadership skills through to operatioal awareness. You'll be given time to invest in your development with the expectation that you will commit to both the training and implementing you learning post course back into the business. You'll have the chance to learn from others and build networks that will help you moving forward in your careers.
The Future
After a year, you could be managing projects, delivering marketing campaigns, providing key insights and evaluation in our HPC or Renewables business units. A little further down the line and you will have specialised in an area of your interest and built up the skill set to manage a team to deliver our company targets, lead oon high-profile projects or drive the strategy for the business.
The Skills
- 2:1 Bachelor's Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in any discipline
- Commercial understanding, analytical abilities, communication skills and a talent for leadership
- Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Passion for working in a customer-focused environment
- Flexibility to relocate
